Friday etc.

It's a beautiful, almost hot, day in San Francisco. I'm headed off to Canada tomorrow for the beginning of my long vacation. A full two weeks, longest I've taken off since starting work.

Yesterday I read School for Adventurers yesterday, written and published by my friends KL and JLY. Also beautifully illustrated by KMRicker. It's quite the page-turner with interesting characters and a fairly well fleshed-out world. I'm looking forward to the sequel.


Also had Japanese tapas for the first time with some coworkers. We went to Gochi in Cupertino and it was absolutely delicious. Some highlights were the clay pot with rice and eel, pizza with crab, shittake mushrooms, various deep fried treats and a salad with sliced beef and a particularly tasty sesame dressing. :)
